What will happen on the Retreat? The Retreat will be a weekend to which you can bring your struggles, burdens, questions and disappointment. It will be a time to share stories, pray together, listen to God's word and be supported. It will be a chance to meet others who have undergone similar experiences. We will have good food and plenty of opportunities to chat and relax. We will look at dealing with grief and anger, discuss the different struggles men & women often separately face and how hope fits in to a future that we never imagined we would be facing.
Each morning and evening we will have a devotional time, during which we look at how we can have distorted images of God: - The God who withholds vs provides; - The God who abandons vs pursues; - The God who is unreliable vs trustworthy; - The God who is abusive vs who heals. You will not be expected to share anything you would rather not, nor will you be given a jam-packed programme of activities. We want you to leave the Retreat refreshed and with a renewed hope for the future. What should I do next?If you are interested in attending the Retreat or would like further information, please email [email protected],
